	One of the difficulties encountered by so many, if not a majority of, FMs is that is is a lonely profession and it is difficult to share or learn from people with in your working environment. This is why it is so important to establish yourself within a network of FMs where you can; bounce ideas around, learn from other successes, and question if your decisions will work.
Back to	The alternative to this is mentoring, where you can gain strength from a more experienced FM who will pass judgement, train and set tasks to develop your competencies
Support details	There is always a third way, utilising the skills of a consultant. Yes a consultant, that person who could con you out of information and insult you with an invoice. But seriously you can get a great deal from using a consultant if only you specify what you want and ask in advance how much it will cost. That way you get you need and no surprises when the invoice does arrive.
